title: "Kitbase vs Finseo: Client Bundles vs Single-Property Depth | Kitbase Blog"
description: "Kitbase vs Finseo compared on agency client bundles, MCP and API access, engine coverage, crawler verification and conversion analytics."

**Finseo prices by client bundle and ships an MCP server and API, which makes it an agency tool. Kitbase prices by plan and invests in depth on whatever properties you point it at.** Neither is trying to be the other.

We build Kitbase.

## Finseo's case

Around eight models tracked, with an MCP server and API, sold in bundles covering multiple clients rather than per brand.

That pricing model is the point. Most AI visibility tools price per brand or per domain, which means an agency with fifteen clients pays fifteen times, and the maths stops working at small retainer sizes. Bundle pricing makes it viable to include AI visibility in a standard retainer rather than selling it as an upsell nobody buys.

Add programmatic access and you can feed client dashboards without an analyst exporting CSVs monthly.

For an agency, that's the whole evaluation. Measurement quality across these tools is broadly similar; what differs is whether the commercial model fits how you sell.

## Kitbase's case

Kitbase prices by plan: five projects on Starter, twenty on Pro, unlimited on Business, with team members ranging from two to unlimited and audit logs from Pro. For an agency that's workable but not tuned to it, and there's no white-labelling.

The depth is where the money goes.

**Answers.** Up to ten surfaces, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Presence rate with brand mentions and domain citations counted separately, share of voice normalised across every tracked brand with a dense rank over time, cited domains and exact pages classified as yours, a competitor's or third-party and tagged by source type, and per-mention sentiment, recommendation status and list position. Competitors the engines named that you don't track get surfaced automatically with history backfilled.

**Crawlers.** Requests forwarded from your server or edge, resolved to a named crawler and vendor, verified against published identity, with per-path crawl frequency. Forwarders exist for Next.js, Vercel, nginx and Cloudflare Workers, and humans are ignored at the endpoint so it's safe to forward everything.

**Humans.** Cookieless web analytics with autocapture, custom events, funnels, journeys, retention, page durations and rage-click detection, using a server-side anonymous ID.

**Everything else.** Backlink opportunities from the domains AI cites where you're absent, a link marketplace ranked by citation signals, a site audit, keyword research, workflows and an MCP server on every plan.

## The decision

If you bill clients and need AI visibility to fit inside an existing retainer, Finseo's commercial model does that and Kitbase's doesn't. That's not a close call.

If you're in-house, bundle pricing buys you nothing, and the question becomes what you can learn. Kitbase's crawler layer needs a forwarder on your own infrastructure, which is trivial when it's your site and awkward when it's a client's.

The pattern that keeps recurring in this category: agency tools optimise for reporting across many properties, in-house tools optimise for explaining one. Buying the wrong shape produces either an expensive tool nobody can report from, or a reporting tool that can't answer the question your client just asked.

## FAQ

**Is Finseo only for agencies?**
Its pricing is built around client bundles, which suits agencies. A single brand would pay for capacity it doesn't use.

**Do both offer MCP access?**
Yes. Kitbase's MCP server spans visibility, crawler and analytics data in one project.

**Does Finseo track AI crawlers?**
Not as of writing. Kitbase, Hall, Scrunch AI and Profound report crawler activity.

**Can Kitbase handle multiple clients?**
Up to twenty projects on Pro and unlimited on Business, with roles and audit logs, but no white-labelling or BI connector.

**Which tracks more engines?**
Kitbase reaches ten surfaces on Business. Finseo covers around eight. Neither covers Grok or Meta AI.
