title: "Relixir Alternatives: GEO Platforms With and Without Content Generation | Kitbase Blog"

**Relixir's pitch is that analytics-only GEO tools leave you with a list of problems and no way to fix them, so it generates and publishes content through a native CMS.** Alternatives divide into other execution platforms and measurement platforms that assume you have writers. Which side you want is a question about capacity, not about features.

We build Kitbase, a measurement platform.

## Other execution platforms

### Goodie AI

End-to-end GEO with revenue attribution as a headline, plus broad engine coverage. Upper mid-market. **Best for** teams who want content production and commercial attribution in one place.

### Writesonic

A content platform with GEO monitoring attached, covering ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. Tracking is shallower than the dedicated platforms; production is the strength. **Best for** teams already writing in Writesonic.

### Frase

Similar shape: content workflows first, AI visibility tracking added. **Best for** content teams who want one login.

### AirOps

Workflow-oriented, aimed at building repeatable content operations at scale rather than one-click generation. More engineering-flavoured than the others. **Best for** teams comfortable building their own pipelines.

## Measurement platforms

### Kitbase

Kitbase covers up to ten surfaces, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, tiered by plan, reporting presence rate with mentions and citations counted separately, share of voice with a dense rank across every tracked brand, cited pages classified as yours, a competitor's or third-party and tagged by source type, and per-mention sentiment, recommendation status and list position.

For a team weighing execution tools, two parts matter most.

**Verified crawler data.** Server-side [AI crawler detection](https://docs.kitbase.dev/crawler-detection) resolves forwarded requests to named crawlers and checks each against published identity, with per-path crawl frequency. Whatever you publish, this is how you learn whether the engines read it. Publishing without that feedback loop is guessing.

**The outreach path.** Backlink opportunities built from the domains AI cites for your category where you're absent, ranked into a target list, plus a link marketplace for placements on those sites. When the engines answer your category from third-party sites, this is the lever that works and content volume isn't.

Alongside: cookieless web analytics with funnels, journeys and retention on the same pipeline, a site audit, keyword research and an MCP server on every plan.

**The honest limitation:** no content generation. **Best for** teams with writers, or teams whose gap is citation sources rather than page count.

### Profound

Widest engine coverage plus real prompt-volume data from actual AI conversations, so you learn what people ask rather than what you assumed. Measurement only, enterprise-priced. **Best for** contested categories with budget.

### AthenaHQ

Structured recommendations and governance without generating content, mid-market to enterprise. A middle position between pure measurement and full execution. **Best for** teams who want prioritised direction but keep writing in-house.

### Peec AI

Demand-weighted prompt suggestions, competitive benchmarking, multi-country tracking, Looker Studio export. **Best for** marketing teams and agencies.

## The case against publishing your way out

Worth stating plainly, because execution tools are the fastest-growing part of this market.

Content produced at volume specifically to earn AI citations is the exact pattern answer engines have the strongest incentive to filter. A bad citation degrades their product, so their filtering will keep improving. Search went through this with programmatic content and the sites that scaled it did not come out ahead.

There's also a diagnostic problem. In many categories the engines answer from review sites, forums and editorial coverage rather than vendor pages. If that's true for you, more vendor pages don't move the answer at all, and you'll spend a year finding out. Look at the cited-source mix for your category before deciding that content volume is the fix. Our post on [content AI engines cite](/blog/content-ai-engines-cite) covers what actually gets picked up.

None of that means never publish. It means publish deliberately, against a gap you've verified, and check afterwards whether crawlers read it.

## FAQ

**What is the main alternative to Relixir?**
Goodie AI on the execution side. Kitbase or Profound if you'd rather measure precisely and keep writing in-house.

**Do I need a tool that generates content?**
Only if content capacity is genuinely your bottleneck. Check first whether your gap is crawling or third-party citations, because neither is fixed by publishing more.

**Which alternatives verify AI crawler activity?**
Kitbase verifies crawler identity against published ranges. Profound, Hall and Scrunch AI report crawler activity.

**Is there a free Relixir alternative?**
Not for content generation. For measurement, Hall's free tier is the strongest starting point.

**How do I tell if published pages are working?**
Confirm crawlers fetched them, then watch citations for the target prompts across repeated runs, then check whether the referrals converted.
