**Xfunnel organises AI visibility by buying stage and covers Copilot, which narrows the alternatives considerably.** Most tools in this category report a single blended presence rate and skip Copilot entirely. The list below is sorted by which part of Xfunnel you're trying to replace: the engine coverage, the prompt structure, or the commercial argument.

Disclosure: we build Kitbase, which appears below and does not cover Copilot.

## If Copilot coverage is why you're here

### Profound

Covers Copilot alongside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Meta AI, DeepSeek and Google's AI surfaces, which is the widest list available. It also carries agent analytics and the only genuine prompt-volume dataset in the category, drawn from real AI conversations rather than prompts you wrote. Enterprise pricing, sales-led. **Best for** enterprises where Microsoft's ecosystem matters.

### Otterly.AI

Covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot at the base tier, with Gemini and AI Mode as add-ons, at entry-level pricing. The cheapest way to keep Copilot in scope. **Best for** small teams that need Copilot without an enterprise contract.

### Ahrefs Brand Radar

Includes Copilot alongside Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, as an add-on to an Ahrefs subscription. **Best for** existing Ahrefs users.

## If prompt structure is why you're here

### Peec AI

Demand-weighted prompt suggestions, so your prompt list is built from what people search rather than what your team imagined. That's a different route to the same goal as funnel-stage labelling: making sure you track prompts that matter commercially. Also strong on competitive benchmarking and multi-country tracking. **Best for** marketing teams and agencies.

### Kitbase

Kitbase organises prompts into topics and personas rather than funnel stages. A persona captures who is asking, a topic captures what about, and together they separate an evaluation prompt from a support prompt without a formal stage model. It also suggests prompts and surfaces competitors the engines named that you don't track yet, with history backfilled.

Coverage is up to ten surfaces, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, tiered by plan. Copilot is not covered at any tier.

Reporting: presence rate with mentions and citations counted separately, share of voice with a dense rank across every tracked brand, cited pages classified as yours, a competitor's or third-party and tagged by source type, and per-mention sentiment, recommendation status and list position.

**Best for** teams who want prompt organisation plus the data underneath the answer.

### AthenaHQ

Governance and structured recommendations for organisations running GEO across several brands or units. Useful when prompt taxonomy is really an organisational problem rather than an analytical one. **Best for** multi-brand teams.

## If the commercial argument is why you're here

This is the most common reason teams leave a stage-based tool: the structure is elegant and the CFO still doesn't believe it.

### Kitbase, again

The reason it's listed twice: cookieless web analytics runs on the same events pipeline as the visibility data. Autocapture, custom events, funnels, journeys, retention and rage-click detection, with a server-side anonymous ID. An AI referral is a row in the same system that recorded the crawl of the page that earned the citation, so it can be followed to a signup without joining two vendors' exports by hand.

Underneath that, server-side [AI crawler detection](https://docs.kitbase.dev/crawler-detection) with identity verification and per-path crawl frequency, plus backlink opportunities built from the domains AI cites where you're absent, a link marketplace, a site audit and keyword research.

### Goodie AI

Makes revenue attribution a headline feature alongside end-to-end content workflows. Upper mid-market pricing. **Best for** teams who want attribution and content production together.

## The stage model's blind spot

Sorting prompts by buying stage assumes the engines can read your pages in the first place, and that assumption fails more often than teams expect.

AI crawlers don't execute JavaScript, so nothing in your normal analytics tells you whether GPTBot or Google-Extended has fetched the comparison page you wrote for the evaluation stage. If it hasn't been crawled since you published it, no amount of stage-level analysis explains why you aren't cited there.

Check the crawl layer first, then the citation layer, then the taxonomy. We covered the first two in [which pages AI bots crawl](/blog/which-pages-ai-bots-crawl) and [which domains AI engines cite](/blog/which-domains-do-ai-engines-cite).

## FAQ

**Which Xfunnel alternatives cover Microsoft Copilot?**
Profound, Otterly.AI and Ahrefs Brand Radar. Kitbase does not cover Copilot at any plan tier.

**Is there a free Xfunnel alternative?**
Hall's free tier covers around eight surfaces with stored history and crawler analytics, though not Copilot.

**Can any alternative organise prompts by buying stage?**
Kitbase uses topics and personas, which achieves a similar separation. AthenaHQ approaches it through governance structure. None replicate Xfunnel's stage model directly.

**Which alternative connects AI visibility to revenue?**
Kitbase, via web analytics on the same pipeline, and Goodie AI, which makes attribution a headline feature.

**Do buying-stage prompts really behave differently?**
Yes. Evaluation prompts tend to produce ranked lists where position matters; informational prompts tend to produce citations without recommendations. Tracking whether you were recommended or merely mentioned captures much of that difference.
