How does the 7-day free trial work?
The Starter plan includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. You get full access to all Starter features during the trial. If you don't subscribe before the trial ends, your account will be paused until you choose a plan.
What is AI visibility tracking?
You define prompts your customers might ask AI assistants (like "best analytics tool for startups"), and Kitbase checks the leading answer engines daily to see if and how your brand appears in the answers. Coverage scales by plan — from ChatGPT on Starter up to every major answer engine, including Claude and Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode, on Business. Each plan includes a number of tracked prompts, shared across your AI tracking projects; one prompt checked on one engine once a day is one response. Starter includes 750 responses per 30 days, Pro 4,500. This tracking is part of your plan and never uses credits.
Can I track how AI answers differ by region?
Yes, on Business. Other plans measure your prompts from a single region; Business lets you track more than one, so you can see where an answer names you in one region and a competitor in another. Each region multiplies your included responses and is priced into your Business plan — it does not use credits.
What are credits?
Credits pay for the extras you choose to run: an extra manual check outside the daily schedule, Prompt Explorer questions, keyword research, backlink pulls, AI steps inside workflows. Your daily tracking never uses credits — it is included in your plan. Every plan includes monthly credits for extras that refresh each month; each action shows its credit cost before you confirm. Need more? Credit packs (from $25 for 1,000 credits) stay valid for 12 months and are only used after your plan's monthly credits run out, only if you allow it, and only up to the monthly limit you set in Billing.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
Your daily AI tracking keeps running whatever happens to your credits — it never stops for lack of them. For extras, we warn you at 75%, 90% and 100% of what you can spend this month; past that, an extra action is refused and tells you why. You can buy a credit pack, raise your spending limit, or upgrade if the higher usage is your new normal. Tracked prompts, tracking projects and team seats are plan features, so growing those means upgrading — or, for one more answer engine, contact us.
Can I add an answer engine or change my plan mid-month?
Yes. Anything that gives you more — an upgrade, an added engine, more prompts — applies from your next daily check, prorated for the rest of your billing period. Nothing is back-filled for days that have passed. Anything that gives you less applies at the end of your paid period, and the calendar month you are in is completed at the old allowance. Your current plan's prompts, engines and cadence never change mid-term because a provider changed its prices; that is our problem, not yours.
Can I upgrade my plan at any time?
Yes, you can upgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, you'll be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account will be paused and you'll only have access to the billing page to resubscribe.
